Rules on Proposals to the Jury

EVA maintains a list of nominees for the price. This list can be entered on an informal request. The EVA Board decides on this application. The persons on this list are called movers. From 1 January each year, movers may make proposals for the award winner. These experts will receive an invitation from EVA to register for the nomination. The nomination must be justified. Furthermore, the movers declare that they are not part of the nominated group, institution or that they are voting for themselves.

The Jury / Appointment of the Jury

The EVA Board appoints the members of the jury. The jury shall consist of at least three, highest five members. One jury member shall be appointed from among the members of the EVA Board and shall chair the jury. The winner of the previous year should be a member of the jury in the following year.

Rules for the Decision of the Jury

The jury is composed annually from 1 April and selects a prize winner from the pool of nominees. In the event of a tie, the vote of the chairman shall be decisive.

Criteria for the Awarding of the Prize

The European Voices Award has been presented annually since 2018 within the framework of the Münster Vocal Festival by the European Voices Association (EVA). The award has been presented by a jury, determined by the EVA Board, to either a

• single person
• group (e. g. choir or ensemble)
• institution/organisation awarded.

Criteria for the award are outstanding artistic, pedagogical and/or social achievements in Vocal Music. There should be a distinctive feature or an internationally leading role in at least one of these areas.
The winner will be announced on the first Monday of June at 18:00 and will be part of the following year festival.

Regelung zu Vorschlägen für die Jury

EVA führt eine Liste von Vorschlagsberechtigten für den Preis. In diese Liste kann man sich auf formlosen Antrag eintragen lassen. Der Vorstand entscheidet über diesen Antrag. Die Personen auf dieser Liste nennen wir Mover. Ab dem 1. Januar jeden Jahres können die Mover Vorschläge für den/die Preisträger/in machen. Die Nominierung muss begründet werden. Weiterhin erklären die Mover, selbst weder Teil der nominierten Gruppe, Institution oder gar sie selbst zu sein.

Die Jury / Einsetzung der Jury

Der EVA-Vorstand ernennt die Jurymitglieder. Die Jury soll mindestens aus drei, höchsten aus fünf Mitgliedern bestehen. Ein Juror wird aus dem Kreis des Vorstandes bestimmt und hält den Vorsitz der Jury inne. Der Preisträger des Vorjahres soll Jurymitglied im folgenden Jahr sein.

Regelung zur Entscheidung der Jury

Die Jury setzt sich jährlich ab dem 1. April zusammen und wählt einen Preisträger aus dem Pool der Nominierten aus. Bei Stimmgleichheit entscheidet die Stimme des Vorsitzenden.

Kriterien der Preisvergabe

Der European Voices Award wird jährlich seit dem Jahr 2018 im Rahmen des Münster Vocal Festivals von der European Voices Association (EVA) vergeben. Der Award wird von einer, durch den EVA-Vorstand bestimmten Jury entweder an eine

• Einzelperson
• Gruppe (z. B. Chor oder Ensemble)
• Institution/Organisation verliehen.

Kriterien der Verleihung sind herausragende künstlerische, pädagogische und/oder soziale Leistung in der Vokalen Musik. Es sollte wenigstens in einem dieser Bereiche ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal oder eine international führende Rolle vorliegen.
Der Preisträger wird am ersten Montag des Monats Juni um 18:00 Uhr bekannt gegeben und wird Teil des Festivals des folgenden Jahres sein.
