EVA Board and Guests Discuss New Membership Structure

Bayreuth (GER). Meeting at one of Germany’s most innovative vocal music events, “Sangeslust – the a cappella event”, the board of the European Voices Association along with a number of volunteers created a draft version of four new membership types to be voted on by the upcoming Annual General Meeting on December 9th, 2013.

Volker Bauer (treasurer), Karin Mueller (Director of Education), Florian Städtler (Chairman of the Board), Indra Tedjasukmana (Director of Communication), Tilo Beckmann (Secretary), Markus Kopschitz (EVA’s newest member) and the Sangeslust - das A Cappella Event host Peter Martin Jacob (Vice Chairman of the Board) met in a 4-hour workshop in Richard Wagner’s hometown, Bayreuth.
The EVA Open agenda included topics like the organizational structure, the usage of the CiviCRM software for all administrative tasks, the draft of an international, unified vocal music database, the 2014/15 European Union “Leonardo” project entitled “The Diversity of Singing Practices in the EU” and – as the prominent matter on this day – the new membership structure including four membership benefit packages.
The new membership types (SINGER, FAN, VOCAL GROUP, LARGE ENSEMBLE) are now ready to be presented at the Annual General Meeting. These new memberships include a great list of benefits that will motivate more vocal music fans and activists to join EVA as members and volunteers.
The Annual General Meeting will take place on December 9th 2013 via Skype. Members can register by sending their Skype name to volker@europeanvoices.org.
